Chili
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
2 16 ounce cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 15 ounce cans diced tomatoes, undrained
1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
2 onions, medium, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
cheddar cheese, shredded (optional)
green onions, thinly sliced (optional)
Directions
In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Add the next nine ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours. If desired, top individual servings with cheese and green onions.
Yields
10 servings (2-1/2 quarts).
