Chunking File Uploads

This project is a solution designed to handle large file transfers more reliably by breaking files into smaller, manageable pieces before sending them to the server. Instead of uploading a single large file in one request - which can fail due to unstable internet connections, timeouts, memory limits, or server restrictions - the system divides the file into multiple chunks that are uploaded sequentially. The user interface supports drag-and-drop or standard file browsing, displays real-time upload progress, and uses a chunk size of approximately 1000 KB with automatic retry handling for failed attempts. On the server, each incoming chunk is appended to a partially assembled file kept in a temporary folder outside the web root. When the final chunk is received, determined by the chunk index and total chunk count, the server reports the assembled file's size and SHA-256 checksum so you can confirm it arrived intact. On this demo the file is then deleted, while in your own application it can be moved to a permanent folder and renamed with a unique filename that keeps its original extension. Files up to 50 MB can be uploaded. This approach minimizes upload failures and provides a clean, practical method for assembling large files incrementally with visible progress feedback.
